“Celebrate State” Program Plan, NC State Alumni Association, Raleigh, NC Summer 2014
As an Alumni Relations Intern, I helped create a special event proposal for 2014 Homecoming event called “Celebrate State.” This program plan included a description of the event. This program plan also identified the target market as well as the purpose and mission of the event.
Through the task of creating a program plan for “Celebrate State,” I learned how to be descriptive in a concise manner to a diverse audience. I was able to address the purpose of the event and why it is important to the community.
This experience in crafting a program proposal has helped me become more professional in my writing. This skill set and knowledge can be applied to any career in the event planning field.
“Stop Hunger Now Fundraising Cook-Off” Program, NC State, Raleigh, NC Spring 2014 
This program was a result of a semester-long assignment to create and implement a fundraising event for Stop Hunger Now at North Carolina State University. This program plan included a timeline for planning the event, marketing materials for organization and event, budget, sponsorship packet, pre-event to do list, necessary contacts, and list of materials needed for the event.
I gained valuable programming knowledge and techniques during the execution of planning this fundraising event. I experienced first hand how to solicited donors and acquiring for sponsorships. As a result, $2,500 dollars were raised for the event, doubling the goal set by my Stop Hunger Now supervisor.
This experience can be applied to create organized program plans for other fundraising events and special events in general. Through this experience, I can provide a timeline and program plan to future projects.

Obtaining knowledge about how to use Cvent event management software will be beneficial for any event coordinator. This program software has allowed me to gain a better understanding of the technology used in the hospitality and event industry.
I can apply my knowledge of the Cvent Supplier Network to any position in the field of event coordination. The utilization of this program management software will help me coordinate programs effectively and efficiently.
